You know that scene in Annie – the movie – when she moves into Daddy Warbucks’ mansion and sings “I think I’m going to like it here!”? Yeah, I haven’t seen it in a while, but I must tell you I love Carol Burnett – I think she is one of the funniest women ever. But that is not the point. When we walked into our apartment, we were sold immediately by the view of North Vancouver. And we sang “I think I’m gonna like it here!”
And so we began the painful process of moving in – trying to figure out what to keep, what to store, what to donate. Where to put everything. And six months later I am feeling at home, and as I sit at the island in my kitchen – with my back to the view – I realize that I like my kitchen. For many reasons:
